Additional Pension Calculator

Note 1- Normal Pension Date is the last day of the month before your 65th birthday.   Note 2 - Additional Pension contracts can be taken out in whole years.  The minimum contract length is three years and the maximum contract length is 10 years.
Note 3 - Active members can purchase Additional Pension in units of £250.  The minimum purchase is one unit and the maximum is 21, which equals £5,250.  Each unit of pension is worth a pension of £250 payable at Normal Pension Date.   Note 4 - Additional Pension contracts start on the first day of the month. If you enter a start date on a different day, the actual start date will be treated as the first day of the following month.
Note 5 - This is the monthly cost over the length of the contract of purchasing the Additional Pension.   Note 6 - This is the amount of pension payable at Normal Pension Date.  If a member retires early or late, this will be adjusted accordingly.
Note 7 - This is the amount of tax-free lump sum payable at Normal Pension Date.  It is three-times the Additional Pension purchased.   Note 8 - If your salary changes, the cost of purchasing Additional Pension will not change and neither will the amount of Additional Pension you are purchasing.
