If you have previously opted out of SAUL membership and would like to opt back in, please complete this form and forward it to your Pensions Officer. If you’re contributing to SAUL and wish to opt out of membership, please complete this form and forward it to your Pensions Officer. Please be aware that by opting out of SAUL you are losing the benefits of membership, including an extra 13% pay from your employer towards an income when you retire, lower National Insurance contributions, free life cover and a dependant’s pension for your spouse or civil partner and allowances for eligible children if you die in Pensionable Service. The Trustee uses its discretion to decide who should receive lump sum death benefits. The Letter of Intent is a confidential letter to the Trustee stating your wishes in the event of death. It is very important that you complete a Letter of Intent and keep it up to date - particularly if you are not married to your partner or if your family circumstances change. If you're an active member of SAUL please return your completed form to your employer's Pensions Officer. If you are a deferred or pensioner member return your form to SAUL Trustee Company. If you’re an active member of SAUL you can request a transfer of benefits from another pension scheme. Please complete this form and forward it to your Pensions Officer. If you are a deferred or pensioner member it is essential that you keep SAUL up to date if your address changes so we can contact you about the Scheme and your benefits. If you’re an active member of SAUL your employer keeps these details. If you are a pensioner member it is essential that you keep SAUL up to date if your bank details change so we can pay your pension correctly.
